my husband has a foot fetish...?

and after being married to him for 8 years I still don't understand it. It's not a problem in our marriage except when I want to wear open toed shoe, or flip flops. He doesn't like it when I walk out of the house with "sexy shoes" on (sexy shoes = any type of shoe that reveals my bare feet including plain old flip-flops). He believes that their are a lot of men that are into feet and I should be more aware of who sees my feet. I've never known about foot fetishes until I met my husband and when I found out about it I thought it was very strange. Are there really alot of men out in the world that have foot fetishes? and can someone please elaborate why these men like feet so much? Should I be more self-conscious of the type of shoes that I wear?

btw: he doesn't try to force me not to wear the shoes. He just recently voiced his opinion about it and told me he feels uncomfortable when I wear revealing shoes outside of the house.

i've had a foot fetish for as long as i can remember and i think i like feet so much because i always liked being around feet, (female feet) when i was younger. i used to go to the park when i was younger and sometimes i would pretend like i didn`t like feet to get girls to force me to sniff their feet which i still enjoy. i guess i was curious when i was younger so when i saw a girls barefoot when i was younger i would just sniff it. thn whn i got older i found they had foot fetish web sites and magazines to help me indulge in my fetish. Yes, i think there are a lot of men out there with fetishes but i think most of them respect a ladies feet and wouldn`t touch them without their permission, i make sure i ask a girl before i do anything with her feet. its a lot different from when i was younger and i could smell a girls feet and she'd just laugh and go "ewww". but tell ur husband ur feet are his to touch and his to touch only, and maybe tht'll change what he thinks about u wearin sexy shoes outside, cuz thy are your shoes and you should wear them whn u want to. maybe u should buy a really sexy pair tht u only wear in the bedroom with him, tht'll help too.

You seem to be pretty aware of what a foot fetish is already, some people are turned on by feet. I like all parts of a woman and rubbing feet can be a good foreplay technique but I do not have a fetish about them. There must be a lot of people (mostly men) that have this fetish as there are many magazines, and web sites dedicated to this fetish. As long as it doesn't bother you I wouldn't worry about it, and tell him you want to wear sexy shoes for him, just like if you were to wear a sexy summer dress (that would be for me). Let him know that he need not be insecure and hopefully he will let you wear what footwear you want to wear.

Its more of a case of an over possesive husband than foot fetish. Yes many men including me find feet attractive but your husband has gone a step too far by asking not to wear revealling shoes. Only a psycopath would be that much obsessed with feet. By the way is your husband muslim? Muslims marry by seeing each other's feet as they are not allowed to look at the face and body. I was told this by a muslim friend of mine. Talk to your husband, make him understand, I hope it works.

I think he's including himself in a majority that doesn't exist. He may have a foot fetish (which I just don't get) but there isn't any part of the body that some guy somewhere has a fetish with. What are you supposed to do, go out covered from head to toe. Tell him to stop projecting and everything will be fine.

yes there really are a lot of men that have some foot fetish i sort of like it but that is just me :P

i do not know why it is that way - i think if you tell him to hold your hand more in public or something other men are not going to be looking at your feet :P

this is what i would do though - i would want to get something out of this :P tell him the more foot massages you give me the more i wear shoes that cover my entire foot : ))

I think he should relax about this but how sweet he loves your feet. Some Pisces have foot fetishes according to my book. But Im a Pisces and I dont. I do wear sandals to work. I like them. theyre your feet so he can get used to it!

Perhaps he is feeling insecure. He might think that others are looking at your feet and that you will know this and you will fall for them rather than stay with him. Of course, this probably means that he is looking at other feet as well. Mose of one's insecurities come from that which they find in themselves.

Do what you want. I'm sure you have lovely feet. Use them for walking and if that is most comfortable in open shoes, go for it!
