Totally agree.
I recommend you watch the documentary 'Outfoxed' - It's a superb documentary about how they work and how they censor journalists and enforce their byline. It's so interesting watching how the delightful Bill O'Reilly is especially when he waged his own personal war on the son of a man who died in 9/11 who opposed the war in Iraq.
Brilliant stuff.

Of course people take it seriously....Rupurt Murdoch controls the free press in America and has considerable influence over here too....Blair and his wife have close ties and there is job waiting for them with the Murdoch empire as soon as they leave no. 10. It isn't just Fox news, its all the major news networks, except the indy media, c-span groups.
To be honest its not even worth watching, unless you're desperate to be lied to and given masses of misinformation. These media are directed towards 85% of the population who want an easy answer for everything, they are indoctrinated and indeed conditioned by our education system to accept incohernet and contradictory messages as truth! I agree with you, can't see how people don't see thru it, but the point is, its intentional, the so-called free press is no longer interested in what citizens need to know, more what the government whants them to know....should say think or believe really. Noam Chomsky has a lot to say on this matter, hope it helps

I watch it for entertainment. They are very pro-american and pro-war and no aren't afraid of saying this. But news channels and presensters are meant to be unbiased and not air their opinions which is why I never take the fox show seriously and always get my news from BBC news 24 or CNN and sometimes sky news (shame itn news channel is gone).
I wouldn't say the channel was fair or balanced, because the people presenting iit their are too vocal and opinionated, whereas a proper news reader just says whats happened its basically propanganda for the dumb american who knows no better.
Also the only news stories seem to centre on terrorism and war, never is there a news story on the poor and suffering in africa or asia, so its not a very balanced 'diet' of bullcr#p that they feed their audiences.

I know firsthand that Fox News is more accurate than most other news sources. When I was in Iraq, Fox News was the only news service that the soldiers were actually talking to themselves, everyone else just got the press releases. What you call ridiculous and comically right-wing is actually coming straight from the mouths of the men and women who were actually there. I'm not expecting to change your mind, it's obviously already made up. Just trust me, you don't really know **** about anything, and you won't ever know unless you go there and see things for yourself, which doesn't sound like it's going to happen.

The only objection I have with Fox News is their claim of "Fair and Balanced" reporting and opinions. Most Americans know they are dramatically skewed toward the conservative point of view.
Here is a link for your consideration:

It is a republican spin factory. I live in the USA and i refuse to watch it because they defend the actions of the most blatant criminal acts from most of the republicans that get busted for corruption yet they pounce on any democrat that gets arrested for the same crimes.

Well Fox News has a bias in the OTHER DIRECTIONS.
Many Americans are use to the CNNs and CBSs in of the world..., where their LIBERAL BIAS is accepted as "the way it is".
However... Liberalism is on the attack because people are just figuring out how STUPID it is. Now that organization like FOX report the "OTHER SIDE" of ISSUES... people are saying "HEY WAIT A MINUTE... CBS's 'news' - isn't REPORTING... it's spinning.
I can tell you two things with certainty:
1) You're young and take everything at face value
2) You've swallowed the "MAINSTEAMS PRESS' TAKE" on events as "the way is".
You probably believe BUSH *IS* doing a bad job and he should be IMPEACHED. (we'll think of the reasons later)...
But you see... One of the attributes of LIBERALISM is they CAN'T fathom that their VIEWS might be WRONG or at least NOT THE VIEWS of the AMERICAN PUBLIC.
So...when WE win... We HAD TO HAVE cheated. Or Americal has to be STUPID... or here.
A LIBERAL is SO ARROGENT that they would rather:
HAVE AMERICA FAIL - then admit that OUR GUY is doing what he needs to do.
It's really really sad.
When you grow up... you'll get this... you seem SMART... just MISLEAD.

Fox News is America's news channel because they aren't part of the liberal media that hates America. Fox has thoughtful news that is fair and balanced and shows you how great America is. It isn't afraid to congratulate the President on the great work he has done nor show the American people how bad Democrats and liberals are for the safety and wealth of America. The rest of the news channels are basically pro-Al Qaeda and pro-communist.

Rupert Murdoch owns Fox, and controls alot of other right wing media too. I'm sure his corporation has shares in the oil fields, because it is almost propaganda and peddles civil fear.
