Several possible reasons. Some of them:
- you have cystitis
- you have a heavy cold
- you've masturbated a bit too much recently
- you've had intense sex recently
- you haven't drunk enough water so urine's too concentrated
- you've caught some STD
If this goes away within 24 h, I wouldn't worry about it. If not, you need to go see a doctor asap.

If you're a male, then you may quite possibly have an STD, if you're a female, you could also, burning sensations after urinating are indicative of an infection of some type, and I know that there is an STD that has this symptom listed as one of it's side effects.

You have a Urinary tract infection. The symtoms will get much much worse if you don't go to the doctor right away! Believe me I've had one so bad I couldn't even walk. Please go to the doctor A.S.A.P. Drink lots of fluids (even though it makes you go to the bathroom more) If you can't go today they have an over the counter product to take the symtoms away for the time being

Go to the doctor; this sounds like an infection, and only the right antibiotic will take care of it. Go soon because if it is it will get worse!

Its called urine infection and I had it.I was advised to drink lots of water.

this condition may be due to simple causes as spicy food,some drugs [local or systemic] and diseases which varying from simple to serious diseases:
1. simple causes:crystal in urine,infection[viral,bacterial,fungal and others],stones,urinary bladder disfunction,prostatic disorder,hony moon cystitis.post-coital cystitis and uretheritis,concentrated urine......etc
2.serious causes:diabetic neuropathy,autoimmune diseases,immune insuffient disorders and malignancy.
