Poker is huge my friend. As an example this years wsop final table was on pay-per-view for the first time. Not everyone can play well as some others can, plus it takes great concentration to play well. A lot of pros would like to see poker become an Olympic sport. I deal poker in Vegas so i can't be very fair when it comes to bashing poker, it is a great game to play.

Poker is a sport same as chasing bearded clams is a sport. The media and marketing people add games to the list of sporting events if people are willing to watch it. I wouldn't be surprized to see "marathon sex" or "grand theft auto"becoming a sport either. Fishing is also considered a sport!

Poker is a card game- not a "sport".
