Exactly... they are such a nusance and so common place that I've gotten to the point where I know by not answering their sick and twisted posts they will eventually rot off of here. I guess people hate "Not" to say anything when they feel personaly insutled and attacked.. and they unfortunately keep the hate alive by paying attention to it every time.. ofcourse this means that the sob is sitting back somewhere just laughing it up at our expense and preparing for the next wave of attacks....

Sometimes it's because of the old adage: Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer... and it's fun trying to equal the stupidity of the question with the answer.

Sometimes it's the optimism that even a troll can be enlightened.

Sometimes the troll is given the benefit of the doubt and is treated as though the question is simply based on ignorance.

Sometimes it's just for the glorious two points. ;-)

I react. Sometimes I'm offended beyond my own restraint. Other times I am moved by compassion and offer such an answer. I look for the best in people even in the face of blatant wrongdoing. While I may no longer trust someone, I am still compassionate toward them.

Because it can be staggering to hear an opinion that is not based on facts or they are just parrots of the corporate media (FOX,NBC,ABC,CBS,CNN,MSNBC etc etc). I know what you mean because I fall into the trap a lot and have to pull back from this kind of hatred and short sightedness. I actually plan to make today my last day on this forum because I do not suffer fools too well.

Because nobody likes to see their beliefs, religion, culture, nationality, etc. attacked and insulted. So even when it's obvious that a question has been posted for the sole purpose of causing a stir, people still feel the need to defend/ explain their views.

I find myself doing it sometimes but I usually find the act of expressing my contempt by writing it in the box is enough... I then hit delete without bothering to submit.
