Before radio, phonographs and all the technology, there were only live performances. The "music" most common in homes were "singing canaries".

My grandfather raised hundreds and hundreds of canaries. The best singers brought $30.00 or more, purchased mostly by the wealthy.

Some1 asked the same question before. All i can say is u'd still live but ur whole f.u.c.k.i.n life will b empty. But i really don't believe that there's a possibility of a world without music. I believe that each n every noise that falls inside our ears have music in it. If v didn't know how to sing.... v would b trippin on noises i guess. But human brain is so creative.... v would find out some way to keep ourselves entertained...like P.O.R.N ( Jus kiddin).

I think a world without music would be boring. Music is necessary to express one's feelings!

In a world without music, would that mean I could play drums as much as I want, and no sound would come out? My neighbors would LOVE THAT!

It would so horrible. First there's the boredom factor. What are you going to do to make your housework go by smoother? Sometimes it's necessary to help get you out of a funk, some good upbeat stuff is just what you need. ACK, I couldn't stand it.

more peaceful? As emotions, created through certain kinds of music, might not be there that much anymore? Dunno...I don't listen to music, and I am not missing it either
