Happens again and again no matter where which fish shop i buy corys from...they start on the gravel not being able to balance and then after a few days they start swimming all ovber the place without balance.........what should I do? and please don't say feed a pea.....that's a goldfish remedy....corys don't eat peas and can't force feed them like goldfish.

Once this happens, it's a goner. I have kept and lost many corys and once they start swimming erratically, even a flicker, you can tell their time's up. Don't waste your money on medicine. Separate it and wait for the inevitable, which should happen pretty fast. Water should be kept absolutely clean for corys to survive well.

It may be swim bladder infection and you can get a product called "Swim Bladder Treatment" by a company callled Interpet.
Also if the temperature is too high the swimm bladder will swell and cause the same symptons. The temperatue for corydoras should be in the low 20's celcius. mid 70's fahrenheit.

Go to your petstore, some remedys have a 50/50 chance of working...sorry

nothing can be done,dont buy any more fish from the shop were you keep getting your corys from. sounds like dodgy stock.
