yep, just before ejaculation the penis becomes more engorged with blood and will become harder, a little larger, more sensitive. The testicles also lift up closer the abdomen and the scrotum becomes tighter.

I think because of all the glands which is responsible in producing the sperms are building up enough pressure to shoot the sperm into vagina to assist the 3 millions or so sperms swim directly to the targeted ovum in your vagina.

No, not at all. Ejaculation and erection are two completely different processes. It is possible to ejaculate without becoming erect and vice-versa.

at the height of sexual arousal before ejaculation ..it's usually harder and bigger but not so obvious as you would have imagine....
