I have not gotten any clear answers regarding this from the TSA, the US embassy, or the media. Please someone help me out.

I think contact solution is not allowed. They said that any liquids or gel solutions. I know exactly what you mean. No one is clear at all about this. I'll be going to Canada end of August, and the same rules are applied there, so anyone else of any idea?

Not in a carry on bag, just in checked in luggage

no liquids in a carry on bag. Place in your checked luggage.

must be checked, not allowed in cabin. Same with all other liquids, except baby formula and prescription medication.
