Who ever is the dominant power can do what they like, whether this dominance comes from democracy or as a result of civil war/ war.
I personally find Sharia law to be utterly repulsive and would never visit or live in a country where it was applied.
People who think Sharia law is super should go and live in countries where it applies - wouldn't that make life more simple for everyone?

Not in predominently non-Muslim countries that have laws that choose a different legal system . No minority has the right to impose their religious code of laws/ethics upon the Majority of people who are not Muslim. Especially by force. Australia may positievely outlaw adoption of Sharia, shortly. They have suggested that Muslims that cannot live with nor respect the national law and custom to leave. Other countriea may follow suit.

Any group, country, or religion that does not allow people to leave obviously has problems. If you have something that people want and like, be it a form of government, religion, or something else, you will have no problem keeping your people. If you have to resort to forcing people to remain against their will. (North Korea, Cuba, Islam) something is missing!
