very, very weird question :)) where did you find it ?

i've never seen a balloon reproduce, develop, or have cells (it would be alive if it had - and that's crazy, it's just rubber ! ) so i think it's the variant nr. 3.

You've asked this before, haven't you? It also can't be 2 since it does not have cells.

The answer is therefore 3, but please tell your teacher, from me, that he/she/it is a moron who should feel embarrassed picking up their salary every month.

A balloon is an inanimate object. It can be adapted by it's environment (presure changes for example), but can no more adapt itself than a teacup can.
