Hi Everyone,

Ok..this is hard to explain, but I'm 37 weeks pregnant and it almost feels like I've been trying to do the splits. Those ligaments (or mucles..not sure which) are very sore, especially when I walk or roll over in bed. Also, it sort of feels like my pubic bone is bruised. What's going on?

I appreciate your answers!

Mandy
Proud soon-to-be first time mommy due Aug. 29th

P.S. I'll be asking my dr. about it on Thursday, but wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.

Honey this nothing to be worried about. If you haven't had any problems throughout your pregnancy then your fine. Your due date is very very soon. All this you are feeling is your baby's head is in position and he/she is getting prepared for take off. Meaning your baby has turned upside down and he/she is getting prepared for birth. Just b/c your due date is the 29th doesn't mean that he/she won't come early. But when its all over trust me when you see your baby its going to comfort you. Good Luck sweetie! And take care of GODs little angel.

I had the exact same feelings, i described it as if it felt like someone was pulling my pubic bone in two different directions, i felt this way for about a week and a half. I am twenty three weeks pregnant and I thought that something was wrong because this is my third child and i have never felt this way, plus I'm so early yet in my pregnancy, the doctor said it is just stretching, My soreness has gone away now, but i know exactly what you are talking about. Every pregnancy is different, as i said before this is baby number three and i didn't feel this way the first two times, i felt stretching, but not where i couldn't hardly walk for the tenderness that i felt. Good luck and congratulations on your new bundle of joy.

Hello Mandy! Congratulations! You have nothing to worry about. Your gonna have that baby soon!! I am pregnant as well (33 weeks) and started having this problem at 27 weeks. I went to the doctor immediatly and he told me not to worry, my muscles just aren't supporting the baby very well. This is my 3rd baby and I have HUGE babies. He did offer a non-stress test, but said he didn't think I really needed it. With you being so close, your doctor may do one of these tests. Its nothing to worry about really. You go to the hospital and they hook you up to a monitor which straps around your belly and tells the doctors if anything is going on that shouldn't be. Most of the time, nothing is happening, but you could be having vaginal contractions that you may not feel. Just take it easy, and relax. That way you don't have that baby before its time. Good luck!!

Your baby is placing his head into your pelvic area as he or she is getting ready for the big arrival. It won't be long now as there is no turning back after this as your final stage is just around the corner .Every thing you are feeling is what all of us women go through when we have children. It does hurt for a while but we all forget about and we do it all again.

Most pregnant women are not that sensitive, but what you describe is going on. The ligaments holding the pelvic bones together are stretching to allow delivery.

when was the last time you were at the doctor? were you dialated? cuz it sounds to me like your in the early stages of labor. i felt kinda like that for maybe 2 days before i had my son....except my back hurt ( i had back labor ) maybe you should call your doctor and let him know what your feeling....he will be able to give you a more round about area of how much longer he thinks it will be and he might get you in for your appointment monday or tuesday bc you might not make it to thursday....good luck and congrats

As your baby descends in the birth canal you will feel stretching ,your legs will be sore and a little crampy. All this means is that your getting close to getting to see your beautiful baby.

Sounds like your muscles are working to allow your baby to deliver! I was sore as well! Your baby is pushing on these places right now, due to the fact that he/she is lower in your abdomen!!

Calm birthing vibes coming your way!!!

This is your pelvis spreading and thinning out to make room for baby. Wont be long now!
Get some rest if you can, you're going to need it.
Good luck!
