I'm looking for a college/ university where I can major in photography (the art programs don't even have to be that great, just as long as photo design/ photography is an option).

I live in Atlanta, GA and don't really want to go out of state--I'm planning on earning the HOPE grant and need to attend an in-state school.

Georgia State has a BFA program in Photography, as does the University of Georgia (it's listed under 'Art'), which would probably be your best bets if you're looking to get financial aid. A lot of government programs don't give as much funding to students pursuing Associates degrees. Plus, it's generally better for you in the long run to invest in getting a Bachelors, and state institutions are usually the best way to accomplish that while spending the least amount of money. Good luck!

Try looking into community colleges. You should be able to find one in-state. This seems more like a two-year degree as opposed to a four-year. Community colleges are great in that they have smaller class sizes.

I know the Oklahoma City Community College, my alma mater, had a photography program.

Best of luck finding a school!

I would like to help you but I do not know much about Atlanta, Georgia. Although I would like to move there someday if I have the resources.
