You should never submit any proposed work without copyrighting it. That said, it is unlikely a movie studio would look at your proposed idea, because they are sensitive to the issue of potential copyright infringement. But, if you want to submit an uncopyrighted work to a studio, and it ends up as a movie making millions of dollars worldwide, don't cry because you didn't make any money from it.

Learn to write your own screenplay! The creative field can be vicious and if you've got some great 'A'-level ideas, it's best to write and promote them on your own. Don't be giving away ideas to Hollywood.
