Here's the answer for a 1987 Lincoln Town Car. See the link below.

Answer

I have an '87 Town Car, with the 5.0 L. engine, with fuel injection. My PCV is located on the top and at the rear of the engine, about where the transmission is connected, close to the firewall, slightly more on the passenger side of center. There is also a pre-filter located below this PCV valve. It is a small can with coarse steel wool inside, do not allow this to become plugged, as it will cause too much internal engine pressure to build up resulting in leaking gaskets. Hope this helps

Look for the rubber PCV hoses going to the valve covers. The PCV valve probably plugs into one of the valve covers on the engine through a rubber grommet, and you just pull it out to clean or replace it. It should make a rattling noise when you shake it.

Passenger side, on top of the back part of the valve cover. It's black, and will have 1 or 2, vacuum hoses coming out of it. It looks like an up-side down L with an extra arm. Take it out, shake it. If it makes a rattle noise, it's good. If not, replace it.

It is on the back left side under the air-plenum, you need to look carefully for it because they are easy to overlook in that spot.
