I just found out recently that one of my anti-depressants decreases the effects of my birth control pills. Like 47%. Has anyone had similar issues? Did you get pregnant? Did you find other methods of birth control. Condoms aren't an option, and I really am not ready to be a parent.

Good concern. Got a 13 year old to validate it.

there nothing really you can do but use sperm aside. you cant get it at walmart but you have to live it in 30 min before you have sex. or use and condom your not ready to be and mother you need to find methods to take sure, use birth control is smart but you need to take more. i got pregnant because and anti biotic i was on made my pill fail. and the first time it was because that pill didn't work for me. the other thing is don't have sex is and option too, invested in some toys.

good luck and take steps so you don't get pregnant. just because your on the pill or the shot dosen't mean you can't get pregnant. i happen to many women yeh it helps. but need to take lil more than just the pill or shot. my hubby got and girl pregnant on the shot at 14 years old the baby miscarried do the the hormones in the shot. he got me pregnant twice on the pill. i just say his boy's can swim i guess.

Hmm if condoms are a no go zone than that makes things hard...I would see your doc to see if there is a higher dosage of pill you could be on or if there are alternative methods...maybe diaphram (sp??).I would be very careful in the mean time as I have had a friend fall pregnant on anti's but she didnt mind at the end of the day (stronger women than me at the time!)

The old methods of diaphragm and contraceptive jelly are still around. You doctor can fit you, and it works well as long as you are careful in inserting it.
