But wouldn't you rather keep it that way? Or would you rather some other countries use them?

Iran leaders have stated publicly that Israel should be wiped from the face of the earth... The newspaper says 2 more years and Iranian Nukes will be ready!!!

:-)

- Oh, and they hate the US too.

Its mostly paranoia. You see the US is the most powerful country in the world so it can kinda make its own rules. It doesn't want unstable countries, or countries that have different ideals to have weapons that can threaten it. Obviously the US isn't too woried about attacking itself with nuclear weapons. That and nukes haven't been used since WWII along with carpet bombing and other methods of destroying entire populations not just military targets. The US can trust itself not to bomb the innocent, but can they trust radical nations like Iran and North Korea? I personally don't like the idea of them having nukes.

Yes, I think it's important to think of how the world sees America. It's president is a war monger and you cannot find any other country that was willing to incinerate over 100,000 civilians with nukes to put political pressure on a country's leadership.

Of course, nukes may have shortened WWII by over a year, but that doesn't take away from the fact that no one else has killed that many innocents in a flash.

What is really sad is they didn't have to use them, Japan was ready and willing to surrender!
Shortly after WWII, military analyst Hanson Baldwin wrote: "The Japanese, in a military sense, were in a hopeless strategic situation by the time the Potsdam demand for unconditional surrender was made on July 26, 1945." Admiral William Leahy, top military aide to President Truman, said in his war memoirs, I Was There: "It is my opinion that the use of this barbarous weapon at Hiroshima and Nagasaki was of no material assistance in our war against Japan. The Japanese were already defeated and ready to surrender because of the effective sea blockade and the successful bombing with conventional weapons. My own feeling is that in being the first to use it, we had adopted an ethical standard common to the barbarians of the Dark Ages." And General Dwight Eisenhower agreed.

you do no longer comprehend what a democracy is. you are able to learn why international locations have democracies. it is to keep away from fundamentalist clerics, as in Iran, or despots or thugs, as in Syria, Cuba, or North Korea, from controling a rustic. It spreads the ability adequate so as that it can not be concentrated in this manner of way as to allow a dictator to return into ability. the u . s . basically used the atomic weapon to stress a rustic to sue for peace after it became clean that it does no longer end worldwide conflict II any opposite direction. it is confusing to calculate what proportion lives have been saved by utilising stunning that u . s . into surrendering, yet some say as many as a hundred,000 lives have been saved and the conflict ended lots quicker. sure, any u . s . it is administered by utilising thugs or despots or by utilising fundamentalist clerics is a loopy u . s . and that they could no longer have atomic weapons. And, sure, there are international locations that have atomic weapons which could no longer have them, including Pakistan, India, and North Korea. the u . s . does no longer use atomic weapons for exciting. Your remark shows which you're nevertheless very youthful and picture in those words.

3) You must work for free (or pennies), watch only government allowed movies, and have no internet, and no outside state contact.
4) Singing a song from mexico will get you arrested.

Using atomic weapons for fun is dangerous, and there are alternitive explosives like fireworks that would not destroy a major city virtually completely and severely damage the suburbs, and keep the area uninhabitable for years. Modern nuclear weapons would cause devistation much higher than the damage done to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

yes the US did and saved about a million US casualties and most of the civilian population who the Japanese were going to force to fight against an invasion.

read about the Battle of Okinowa

The US is part of a world organization that has bombs and allows other members to inspect it's facilities. Iran, Iraq and NK are not willing to be the same kind of member so they do not get to join...

I know answering this with logic is a bit silly, but do some research, would you? Thousands and thousands of American and Japanese lives were saved by our use of nuclear weapons in WWII. As far as using it for fun - nah, you should know that us Hedonists are into more pleasurable fun (sex, gambling, expensive toys, McDonalds). Forgive me for the profiling here, but using bombs and killing people "for fun" is really more of a MidEast (crazy country) thing. Peace.
