Its a macho problem.
Men as a species don't feel they need to see a doctor,ever, because they are invincible and everything will be OK if they ignore the problem long enough.
Most guys are frightened to admit there may be something wrong with them so ignore the problem.
Fear of being told you are seriously ill or the fear of painful treatment puts off many men.
The only thing you can do is to be forcefully and insist.
Make life difficult for him.
don't allow him to forget the problem
Just nag continually.
make yourself a bigger problem for him than going to the doctor.
tell him if he dies after not taking your advice you will bury him stood on his head.

Dont know what is wrong with him, but you could try finding some unpleasant pictures of the same condition when it gets worse and slip them into his reading or just put them on the his plate before dinner.

Threaten to tell his mum if he doesn't! I had to do this once with a previous boyfriend who found a lump in his testicle (it turned out to be something like a varicose vein).
You might need to offer to go with him, to make the appointment for him etc.

men dont go to the doctor alone,...youre going to have to make the appointment, take his hand and bring him there. Promise him there are donuts there and an all you can eat buffet after he goes.

Tell him that you are concerned for his health, it would put your mind at rest if he got himself checked out and it would be better for your relationship as you would be not worried and more relaxed.

men are very funny about going to get to Dr's but you have to just get at him he will get sick of your nagging and go
