Seriously, I don't think they would be attacking anyone if it was one on one. Are they really that much of cowards? Are they THAT scared of hearing an opposing view?
Is anyone else being attacked for their views on here?

And considering the fact that I have never attacked tough as hell directly, I've only answered him, that is NOT true. I've always been polite in my answers.
Besides, I'm not even a Republican. I've just been called one by the people I disagree with. I'm an Independent, thank you.

Answerman, that is a great answer. And I apologize that you've gotten hate mail, though I'm not one of the people who would send it. I know this is "chatting", but I really wanted this to be public.
There is nothing wrong with criticizing the current administration. What IS wrong is generalizing a whole group for their political affiliation.
It's wrong to say things like "All Democrats are this" or "All Republicans are that", in my opinion. I won't attack a person for their political affiliation, but I will call them out if they're being hateful.

I agree, it seems like there are a few people who hate Christians and Republicans & have put them all in one category and they seem to put down anyone with an opposing view. If they don't want their question answered by a certain group of people they should say so.We are all individuals and our opinions are based on beliefs, life experiences and individual feelings. No one should be "pigeon-holed" or lumped into a category. We are all different and that's what makes life interesting. I thought that's why people get on here & ask questions....to get a variety of opinions.

They say you should never discuss religion or politics for that reason exactly. People really do believe that their view and their beliefs are the only one that can possibly be right, and that anyone who opposes them is entirely wrong, and not only wrong, but offensive, stupid, and sometimes should be shot like the dogs they are.
It's absurd, but that's the way a great many people are. Many people /are/ afraid of anything that opposes their viewpoints. And some are just stubborn. Some take it as a personal offense.
I try to see both sides of a situation, and though I have a certain disdain for people who believe certain things, I don't label the entire opposite party or religion as stupid, dumb, or completely worthless. I've seen so much "liberals suck" and "christians suck" and "conservatives blow" and "athiests are so dumb!" and so on that makes me just want to cry. Do we really have to resort to mass generalization and name-calling, and insisting that anyone who disagrees with you is a) the cause of all of our problems, or b) so stupid they shouldn't exist?
The immaturity of people when it comes to these subjects is off the scale.

Some people have poor perception of issue or they do not take this forum seriously. Every body has right to comment President Bush policies but nobody has right to pass irresponsible comments as frequently seen. If some body has opposing view, we should respect his views. I personally feel that we will continue to receive comments on this forum by people of mob mentality. Yahoo team may help us by deleting these comments. We should show tolerance .

You ought to get half of the evil, hate mail that I get for being a outspoken liberal and a strong critic of the Bush administration. I am not polite anymore as the people that attack you are not polite or even give you a debate. It is their way or the highway and I choose the highway as I can get places that way and not be stuck in one spot. Do not worry so much about others and what they think, it is what you have in your heart and mind that counts.

Politics is a mob action. A single person can get nothing done in this or any other country. It takes a MOB to get rulers, and other political persons, to move and do something.
Do you think that you, by yourself, can get thee President of the US to do something?
In most cases it is the only place where weaklings can make their voices heard.

it relatively is via nature of the subject rely. Politics by utilising its very nature has been and consistently would be divisive. besides the undeniable fact that, it won't basically be divisive yet call calling, and finger pointing. extremely some on the two section basically like call calling and pointing arms, which in my adventure does not upload to communicate basically incites anger. yet besides it relatively is a topic rely many people are obsessed on and many folk are divided alongside very clean lines.

I think people buy into a mob mentality because the lack the ability to think, form opinions and speak for themselves. I think it is important to recognize people who do this for what they are; mindless followers.
