Their tactic of using terrorism targets innocent civilians which includes women and children. How can the Muslims who are not fascists remain silent about such an un-Godly, barbaric, and cowardly act? There is a saying if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. In my religion coming to the defence of the innocent is required. Otherwise, without taking some action against an injustice is a sin of ommission.

Lets think about this. Terrorists have no moral boundaries, so what would killing children mean to them?

And as for people staying silent, I'm not sure they have much of a choice. For the most part, they are dirt poor, and they may have seen their brothers and fathers killed by Saddam's regime or by other terrorists. They are not living in a world like ours, where we can feel free to go to the police and report a crime. You can move or get governmental protection if you report something that might endanger you or your family. They have no source of protection if a person they reported wants revenge. They have no options. If I were them, I would lay low too. Idealism and bravery is good on paper, but if you or your family were actually facing the decision - stay quiet and go on living your life, or report something and constantly be looking over your shoulder, never knowing if or when a terrorist finds you - practicality would onset.

The problem is not that Muslims dpn't condemn such acts. We do, alot of us, common people and religious leaders. But if you havn't noticed, Muslims don't control much of the media. The media chooses to show muslim teens with guns and bombs strapped to them yelling their lungs out "Death to America".

The media is controlled by the Israelis, and this is a fact. So what gets through to you Americans or where ever in the western world you come from, is a negative, barbaric imgage of Muslims. What they portray to you is a religion that teaches violence and hatred.

I probably sound like many other muslims who believe its the jews who are to blame for all our troubles. That is not the case. I believe that just like there are Muslim fanatics who cannot and perhaps will not learn to co-exist with the people of other faiths, the same can be said of a handful of Jews.

What you see in the media is not the truth, atleast not the entire truth. You want us to be part of the soution, give us a chance...

Perhaps they are in a difficult position. On one side I have no doubt the everyday lay Muslim is just as outraged as anyone else. Lets not forget that the first tip to the London plot came from a Muslim. However, these lay Muslims are also surrounded by the radicals...denouncing them undoubtedly would be dangerous.
