If you try to partition after install of windows you will lose data.

You need a Partition Manage program for this so as you dont lose any data.

this is one, but there many more out there.

If you partition a hard drive and you already have data on it, you will lose the data. There are programs which allow you to do this WITHOUT losing anything but I am guessing you dont have one of those. The easiest and safest way is do do it when you are installing the operating system. IF you are installing Windows XP then it will give you this option during the installation.

simple to do go to administrative tools click on drive you want to partition self explanitory from there i wont partition one inless i had no choice i'd add one (i keep all important things on a slave drive so if i have to wipe out hard drive i dont lose any things i want to keep adding a slave drive is very simple the plug is marked and the hard drive is marked also on what to do

You will need a software like partition magic just install it and read the help files if you find any thing difficult

here r some sofwares fo that but its not a gud idea its safe if u partition yo drive when u install the os

the only way to partirion a hard drive is to put your os cd in & follow the instructions.
