Why would some people use the excuse of "too many hypercrites at church" as a reason for them not to go? Do you think they stay off the road because there are bad drivers???? Sad and not wise

Because, they don't realize this. The answer that thier giving is what they are! Everyone is.
There are countless people who say one things and do something else.

And if we want to go a little deeper than that. King Solomon uses the word "hypercrite" in the idea of doing buisness unwisely, and abusively. So what can we say about the work place....."Oh I don't work because there are to many hypercrites!"?

So whether or not your in or our of the church, someone is a hypercrite.

If you use that excuse for not going to church, than you should use that excuse for leaving your job! But wait, that would enclude your family, friends, and relatives!!

You'd be so lonely.

They only point that excuse to the church because the Word of God is preached, and they are whipped by what God has to say about thier bad living! They are afraid of living right.

The underlined subject is that. If they went to church they couldn't live the way they are living now!

People may say what they want. There is always some excuse that must be given to the next person just because others will have bad opinions about them for not being religious. If a person is religious, nothing will stop them from going to church or attend any other religious meetings. We attend church for our own salvation and not for others. If there are hypocrites attending church, let them be what they are. Don't judge others and deprive yourself of your religious duties. Judgement should be left to God.

I would guess it is because they don't want to go in the first place. There are plenty of bad drivers out there but what keeps me off the road is the price of gas.

Prayer has always been something that happened inside of me, I am not impressed with a house full of people gathered say on Sunday because they feel they have to be there. My prayer is private and I like it that way So, I don't consider not going to church an excuse rather a form of personal enlightenment...
