It wouldn't be endless as the other answer said cause although babies are being born others are also dying so it balances.
If you say the population of the earth is roughly 6 billion and the average length across your body from hand to hand is 1.5meters (very roughly - men are longer, women same, children and elderly shorter) than the distance would be 9 billion meters which is 9 million kilometers.
The circumference of the earth though is much smaller so it would loop around.
As to whom I would like to hold hands with...I'd choose my girlfriend and Scarlett Johansson

Most people would drown if the chain were unbroken!
Thinking scientifically, if we took up a yard with both hands out to the person next to us, 1760 people to the mile, the chain times by the world population (6.5 billion) would be about 369,318 miles long, so would span the world several times over. I would hold hands with my wife on one side, my mother on the other.

I think it would be endless due to the babies being born each second.
I'd love to hold hands with my man Mark on one side & Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) on the other with my daughter sitting on my shoulders! Oh wait up, then she wouldnt be holding hands? Um, sorry Dave, my daughter comes first! lol
But i think Mark wouldnt mind holding a guys hand if it were Mr Grohl himself!!!!!
