Does anyone know anything please.. because my 12 week old guinea pig gave birth to 3 babies .. 1 has got a small eye!.. the other has got a cataract!.................... please help with info!

Defects like this happen now and again but could be caused by an infection and you should get it checked out by a vet as soon as possible. Please don't delay as this might lead to the animal suffering. I don't think the mother would only be twelve weeks old either as she was pregnant for 10 weeks, she may be as young as 15 weeks but is probably a little older.

The birth defects could be caused by the mother being so young giving birth. I would have to say take the babies to the vet and fix that cataract and possibly get all the babies check ups to make sure they're all good on the inside. Get the mom a check up too to make sure that there's nothing wrong with her. Because it's not good to have a suffering piggy. :)

Sorry to hear that. Animals are so helpless too. I suppose they could live a normal life. They have some birth defects but as long as they are not in pain they should be able to survive ok. If they are in pain and suffering from other afflictions from these defects...well, you know...but they should be ok.
Any surgery could be very costly but you could just check with your Vet anyway to give them a little physical exam.
