counselling - done by experts in specific fields called to be counsellers. They provide you advise based on their knowledge & experience.
It could range from professional carrier oriented advise to educational consulting (which course to go for), personal ...
To know about yourself or what you would best fit... guidance in general. We all go for it for one or the other matter. As we can't judge ourselves on all matters... the decision is of course yours but they help you decide, provide you with informaton/facts/advantages/disadvantages etc.

A freind or relative can give you better advice & support for free.
It is a complete racket that sucks in insecure people into parting with thier money and to what end ?

Counselling is someone who helps you figure yourself out. They can't tell you who you should be, you need to figure that out yourself.

a psychatrist is smone who taxes u for building castles in clouds..........................ie it is totally useless if u want to thnk abt ur probs................and find a solution.........its better to refer to ur family an friends
