I can give you one idea.

The most obvious would be to research the speeches of JFK during the space race. This was a high time for nationalism and science "hand in hand".

Don't plagiarize, but look at the structure of the piece, the themes involved, etc. ("We choose to go to the moon, not because it is easy, but because it is hard!")

There is no such thing as great writing, only great rewriting. I've rewritten things three, four times sometimes. Get some tunes going, put your butt in the chair and get to work, you'll feel good about yourself when you get it done and will have a real reason to congratulate yourself when you get that 'A'.
