It would be unwise to just ignore it... When the USSR was trying to make its way into the middle east, the US helped put a stop to the "Commies", but pulled out as soon as the Commies were gone... Leaving a war torn counrty, and allowing a dictator to take up rule, putting us in present day, (with the US finially fixing what they should have finished a long time ago). Not to say that Bush Does not have other motives to being in the middle east, (cough oil). Pardon me... :) I think when all is said and done, things will be better. I just wish Bush was a little more straight up about all of his intentions. In the book The Ingenuity Gap, page 341 it shows the percentage of people making various amounts of money. With poverty, comes higher crime. This graph is based on the US, so you can only imagine what it could be like living in a place like parts of the middle east. They are under educated, starved, being brought up in a place where all they have seen is war. If we don't do something, things are going to escalate to even worse proportions then what we have seen already. To sum things up... When you have a dictator, who is corrupt, (the rich get richer, the poor stay the same), in a war torn country, and the people are under educated... I would have to say is a situation similar to a person beating a dog every day, and if I were walking along and saw something like that, I would lay some beats to the guy. That my two cents...

Sorry, I don't buy any of this crap our goverments tell us about spreading democracy. It all sounds very patrotic but the bottom line is all wars are fought over something tangible, more then likey it is about commerce. The Middle East has oil and all countries need energy to run their economies. There is a lot more going on then just America vs. Iraq. China needs oil, the russians need money, etc. There have been many horrible things happening in many countries around the world and the USA and the EU are no where to be seen. Why? Those countries have nothing that the USA or the EU need so the slaughter continues every single day.

I couldn't agree more. I think it is sick when people here in the U.S. say we sould stay out of other peoples business...well I have news for them, they probably wouldn't be thinking that if they woke up in the middle of the night and were thrown in prison for speaking out against the government. People need to realize that the U.S. is the most powerful nation in the world and that we need to stand up for the people who don't have a voice...we also need people like Bush who are willing to say, "you can't treat people like that and now your going to pay for it"

No.
Imposing something you classify as justice could be another mans curse. Look at Iraq and Lebanon for example. Look at the bloodshed and hopelessness America and Israel have caused.
