God does indeed have a sense of humor. If you don't believe it take a good long look at a giraffe sometime. Anyway most of us Christians want to see God as some kind of Vulcan far removed from basic emotions. However we were created in his image so he too must have a sense of humor.
God is many things but most of all he's a pretty funny guy.

God wants us to call Him Father, He does not want us to be terrified of Him. This has never been His intent from all what is said in the Bible of Him.
