You can go to the doctor and have them frozen off with liquid nitrogen - this is not painful and is very quick. I had it done a few weeks ago for a wart. The worst that can happen is (for a big wart) it might sting a little bit afterwards when the flesh warms up again.

Relax. Let's assume worse case scenario this is a genital wart. Most women clear this virus. Remember 50-80% of women have HPV at some point. I like the idea of treating it and monitoring it, but I think seeing a gynecologist to get a second opinion prior to treatment seems fair. Your life isn't over. You will be fine, and this too shall pass. How to protect yourself for the future 1. Pap smears annually, as having HPV puts you at risk for cervical cancer, which is totally treatable if caught early. 2. vaccinate with Giardasil 3. save condom free sex for marriage...just a good policy to live by. Take care, and know that many women have been in your situation. You will still get married, have babies, and live a great life.

Warts are a type of infection caused by viruses in the human papillomavirus (HPV) family. There are more than 100 types of HPV viruses. Warts can grow on all parts of your body. They can grow on your skin, on the inside of your mouth, on your genitals and on your rectal area. Some types of HPV tend to cause warts on the skin, while other HPV types tend to cause warts on the genitals and rectal area. Some people are more naturally resistant to the HPV viruses and don't seem to get warts as easily as other people.

You can treat warts on places such as the hands, feet or knees by putting salicylic acid (one brand name: Compound W) on the warts.

I know you are going to think I'm off the scale nuts, but I bought this home remedy book that is full of treatments for health problems, and I have found it just amazing! An over the counter ulcer medication has proven to be very effective. It is under the brand name "Tagamet" but I'm sure the real name is different. I can testify to the fact "IT WORKS" and that's all you need to know. One word of caution; as with any medication you need to read the label carefully, as there are some medications you could be on that it don't mix with. Good Luck!
