Started entertaining in working mens clubs playing ragtime piano
teamed up with Benny Hill who acted as his stooge, did several tv programes rag trade, valiant varneys etc before on the buses in 1969, has been working on stage around the world, but heart problems have kept him from our screen in recent years

bob hope (jack harper) died in 2003 at the age of 71
