half crazy by johnny gill or freestyle.. reminds me of the one i love
here is the lyrics:
Know I havent slept a week at all
Since you've been gone
And my eyes are kinda tired
From crying all night long
Know I've never been too good at cooking just for one
It's so lonely here without you darling
Come back home
'Cause I'm half crazy
Feelin' sorry for myself
Half crazy
Worried you'd find someone else to love
Know life hasnt been much fun at all
Since you've been gone
And my eyes begin to fill
Each time I hear our song
I spent every minute asking myself
What went wrong
Can't we try to talk it over baby
Come back home
'Cause I'm half crazy
Feelin' sorry for myself
Half crazy
Worried you'd find someone else to love
But baby there is no-one else
Half crazy
For everything you saying
Half crazy
No one else could love you like I do
(break)
'Cause I'm half crazy
Feelin' sorry for myself
Half crazy
Worried you'd find someone else to love
But baby there is no-one else
Half crazy
For everything you saying
Half crazy
No one else could ever love you
No one else could ever be
Half crazy
Feeling sorry for myself
And I'm worried you'll find someone else
Feeling sorry for myself
Half Crazy (faded)

Wake up boo! - the boo radleys,
quite an average song but it reminds me of my first morning waking up beside someone i loved and cared for and this was playing in the background on the alarm clock, each time i hear it it takes me right back to then.
Split up with the person not long after that ,
but eventually got back together again with the same person and now happily married :)
other songs just remind me of what i was up to and where i was, this is the only song that reminds me of someone

Its got to be about a girl by nirvana, i think about love every time i hear it, it reminds me of a time when i played in a band in school and i was madly had a crush on someone, we played a a swimming competition and I'm looking in the crowd (umm) and she wasn't there to notice, i was tryin to impress and seem real, but she was in the shadows. (i soon learned she was an alcaholic and that she was tryin to get drink from older boys by using them, i didn't realise that at the time) she was only 13 and looked the coy image of innocence. i was greatly deppressed. but i always remeber the song, the words kinda suit the memory too.

Sad eyes by Robert John because back in the 80's I was going out with this guy and we'd been together for years. He dumped me because he was gay. This song was on and I just fell to bits. It still cuts me up now when I hear this song, but I'm stronger now.

Lost In You by Ash... Although there are always loads of songs associated with an ex, that one, maybe cos I don't hear it that much, always takes me right back...To falling in love, not being able to get enough of eachother, etc... Ah - and then of course to a big messy split 2 years later!!

Fiona Apple's "To Your Love"
I have a hard time letting go of painful past experiences and often feel bad for the other person trying to reach me as they come across my emotional wall:
"Please forgive me for my distance
The pain is evident in my existence
Please forgive for my distance
The shame is manifest in my resistance
To your love, to your love, to your love
I would’ve warned you, but really, what’s the point?
Caution could but rarely ever helps
Don’t be down when my demeanor tends to disappoint
It’s hard enough even trying to be civil to myself
Please forgive me for my distance
The pain is evident in my existence
Please forgive for my distance
The shame is manifest in my resistance
To your love, to your love, to your love"

Harry Nilsson's 'Without You' reminds me of my first serious girlfriend - we bought the single together from Woolworth's in Whitby on an Easter visit there back in 1972.
Sadly, I found that I COULD live without her......as could she without me......
