Hi!
You might try to use Ontrack Data Recovery 6 software. I believe that it creates emergency disks. Now, install Ontrack DR6 on another computer and create these disks. Use them on your computer. I personally used it under Win PE (from CD-Rom).
If you don't have this program (not cheap!) then you might try the following:
Install Partition Magic 8.0 (or, at least, 7.0) from, Ontrack (?) on another system. Now, create the emergency disks. Use these disks to boot up your system. See if you can unformat/ undelete your partition. There is low chance to work, though.
I'd go for Win PE + DR6, though, it restored about 80 % of my most important files, after a HDD crash!
Good luck!
Robin

If you have actually formatted the entire drive then it is pretty much over I'm afraid. There are people who specialise in data recovery from formatted or damaged drives but there would be a cost involved. I am unsire how much this would be but I would guess that it is not cheap. It would have to be an important file.

It is possible to get it back but it will take a long time.
Better check first if you got it backed-up before.
But if you used softwares viz: PartitionMagic, Seagate DM, or Maxtor Maxblast, it will be faster if you use 'em restore function.
(Provided you didn't reformatted the HD twice!)
BTW Do you have your own Internet Address?
Something like me@FirstNameLastName.ws?
