Yep, my brother used to have one, a while back and there was a shop in town where you could hire one out for the day.
I'm sure it was a Sony.

Yes and we still have a JC Penney's model. The battery pack no longer works, but it's still nice to use in our home. As longs as we can still purchase blank VHS tapes we'll be able to use ours.
I think they were invented by the fellow that invented the maxi pad.

Sure was , but "boy" it was big and heavy, and hard on batteries.
They came with a long electric cord, and a very bright light, that was attached to the top of the camera.
