Only hand-carry. Accdg. to the news last night, they order people to put liquid/fluid stuffs in the check-in baggage.

And when the security guards find some liquids in your handcarry, they will give you the chance to place it in the chack-in bag. I just don't know how it works since you have to give your check in bag, then the inspection of handcarry.

The newspaper here in Florida printed the guidelines and it is for carry on only, So you can check the items, and most airports were allowing people to repack their luggage to meet the guidelines which is why it was taking so long for everyone to clear the gates. My daughter just came back from Japan and her problem was she couldn't bring powdered laundry soap in her checked bags, the liqiud was ok but not powder.

i think its also included!be it hand carry or the checked in luggage.i just watch some news at the japan airport and even bottled water is prohibited.i just talk to my sister who is in philippines right now and she said the philippines airports are also practicing same procedures.im also about to go home this aug 16,and ive remove any liquiefied objects on my luggage,e.g.mouthwash,astringent,hand lotion,moisturizers,etc..better to send them thru moving company that to have it throw away.better play safe than being held up at the airport for long time.if u r a filipina,u should know how our fellow kababayan will act on this.the philippine government had already a lot of terrorist attacks that they might be over reacting now in checking even the simple mineral water might be banned on board.

You have to put any liquids in your checked-in luggage. Effective today, this applies to all international flights, not just flights bound for the US or UK.
