Out of the 4 names you took, perhaps tendulkar is the only batsman in the last few years of his career! Sehwag is still young, and Uthappa is even younger! Irfan Pathan is not a regular opener. So if Shikhar Dhawan performs he has a chance, but right now I dont think he is better than sehwag or sachin as an opener in ODI
