There is now free movement of food products from UK to France.

The uncooked meat ban was a while ago because of BSE and then foot&mouth disease. It has now been lifted.

I believe if it is shop-bought and foilpacked in an EU approved factory as such then meat is allowed. That is the rule for Belgium as i know it. Wouldn't have thought French ruling to be much different. Found this too: http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Travel/Question207622.html

As long as it's not raw meat or something, as far as I know there are no serious restrictions. This assumes the food is for your own consumption, not reselling at a market, which would involve EU food hygiene laws.
