My friend says her b/f hits her and I've witnessed it myself.The first time he did it,he just threatened and she left, but then she regretted it because she left her ex after only one hit and she still regrets it because maybe he could of changed and she seen one guy change once so she went back and they got back together but now it's been over a year and he keeps hitting her she wants to leave at times but then he freaks out and scares her,he made her feel like she's nothing without him and other times she feels like he might change,How can I help her without hurting her? if he did already,How can I or any7one help her?How do I fix my best friend?and What advice can I give her without hurting her?
PS they basically said they can't do anything big until he actually kills her)omg long prayers and hopeful wishes PLEEESE!!and help me.

PPS just last night she called and said she wanted to leave because he was freaking out and yelling and he told he shes **** and a ***** and many other obscene woirds and said leave I don't want u anymore thinking that it would make her want to stay so she decided yes its finally over and he grabbed her and was banging he head against the car window she said she didn't have any bruises just whip lash and a head ache she wanted to call the police but she knew as soon as they let him out it would be even worse.Please help my friend.

She already called the police but they said all they can do is keep in jail over night and he just gets more angry if she files a restraining order if he breaks it all they can do is hold him for a month plus his friends are cops shes scared how can I really help its not simple he doesnt give her black eyes or anything but things like I said about the car incident .

have her stay at a shelter, with a group of friends, with someone who can protect her, have her call hotlines and shelters

If "hitting" is occuring than separation is needed. They need to meet with a counselor to set new ground rules before getting back together. Violence must be removed from the equation before the other areas can be built and improved. Help her be protected. Discuss the issues openly with the people closest to her.

Ask your friend to leave that jerk..if he loves her,she would not be beaten...ask your friend do not be silly anymore.
and ask her to lodge a police report as soon as possible.
