Love and care, the only key to develop confidence in a child. You should clear all his/her doubts in a friendly way. Children being closer to nature never like violence. If they witness violence in your conduct towards any one in their presence, they will never excuse you. So, please take care not to show anger, intolerance, jealousy, hatred or use of abusive language in their presence to any one. They love their mother biologically, more than their father. So, never misbehave with her in their presence. I think this is enough!

Take the time to teach her something new and praise her when she does well. Play games with her. Tell her she is beautiful, and give her some lip gloss. My daughter loves that, b/c she feels pretty. Take pictures of her. Give her jobs to do; things that she is able to accomplish, and when she completes the task, praise her for being a big girl and reward her.

give them small small responsibilities in home and to handle it independently plus lot of talking about your own experiences so that they can derive the positive aspect from them.the house should always be place for open discussion where child feels free to view its feelings that helps boost its confidence.
