An honest mechanic will only replace the ones that are bad. But there are very few of them out there. All of them are hardly ever worn unless it has been left go for a long time or they have a lot of milage on them. Keeping your shocks changed when needed will extend the life of them too.

Normally, a mechanic only will fix things that he's listed on the repair invoice. If your steering's shot, it can get expensive in a hurry...if you don't fix some things now, you could end up paying to fix a lot of stuff later, or maybe even buying a new car if you let it go too long...

They should....If your inners are worn then the outers are due...vicea verca...if you only change one than the others will be weak and worn and will make the new one wear out quicker. Plus I think most parts stores/dealerships sell bushings in kits, so you replace them all at the same time.
