my cousin is havin a baby and she is gonna name the baby zoey even if it is a boy or a girl i dnt think that would be a good name for a boy do u think it is

Zoey is a girls name, but there is nothing you can do to keep her from naming her child Zoey if it is a boy. You can point out the fact that it is a girls name and that a boy might be made fun of by other children while he is growing up, but that's about it.
I have a niece named Riley and a friend named her girl Hunter, so it could be worse.

~~ um Zoey is a good name for a boy.... if she wants him to be teased for having a girl's name for the rest of his life..she may as well name him Sue.(have her listen to the song a boy named Sue it will give her an idea what Zoey boy would go through). if she is bound to name the baby Zoey i sure hope she has a girl~~

Zoey is about 99.9% girl name. Just remind her on how much the boy will be made fun of growing up. Its goin to be really hard on him. So just keep hoping its a girl!! lol

let's hope it is a girl because that poor boy will be tormented. People are very selfish if they do not imagine what their child's life will be like if they saddle them with a stupid name, her poor child will spend years at school having to put up with being bullied for having a girls name. In the end it is your cousin's baby and she must call it what she wants, but it is really cruel to do that.

Zoe is definitely a girl's name!!! Joey is a boy's name!!! You can't put them together and make a unisex name. That's not how it works!! Tell her she strongly needs to reconsider. Make sure she understands that it's NOT her name!!!! Her child will have to live with it forever!! Start the child's life off right, with a GOOD name!
