Gentle stretching excercises before playing will help. Hold each stretch for 60 seconds before going to the next stretch. Also, potassium intake will help avoid soreness. Most sports drinks contain potassium as well as bananas and over the counter supplements. Also try to stay well hydrated while playing. Also taking an anti-inflammatory such as ibuprofen or naproxen sodium (Aleve) about 30-45 minutes before playing will help.
After playing, be sure to do some cool down excercises and more gentle streching. Then soak in a good warm to hot tub bath.
Good luck!

u should apply an effective oinment n take a bit rest. this had happened because u practised too hard which ur muscle was not used to. but don't stop playing badminton coz it will be more painful if u stop playing, so play atleast half of which u played before. that will be good for u n ur muscles.
take hot water bath daily. try to move ur leg up n down so that it will work properly or otherwise if u just sleep it will be extremely unbearable.
so, take care
good luck!!!. i'll pray that u win this tournament.

first change your coach because he or she doesn't know anything about sports injuries and how to avoid and prevent them.
for the time being let rest fo a few days to lessen the swelling of either your ligament and muscles, take pain killers and apply liniment either oil or cream and take ample rest.
do light exercises and stretching when you resume your preparation for the tournament and make sure that your warm-up before and warm down after any strenuous exercises or work -out.

You really, really need to talk to your coach and see if you can get set up (ASAP!) to see a licensed Sports massage therapist. If you are a professional athlete, this should be part of your training....on a regular basis.
The massage will help break up any metabolic waste that you have built up in your muscles and will get you warmed up and ready for play. I would have your coach help you locate a sports massage therapist, or I would start calling chiropractors to help you find one.
good luck.

just put your self in a hot tab with a lot of salt in it for about 20 min. then put some oil in the affected and don't play for a few days. and don't use pain relievers CZ your body can Get immune to it .
