Yes Paul Macready designed the Gossamer Condor in 1977 which won a £50,000 Kremer prize for human-powered flight; he designed the Gossamer Albatross in 1979 which won a £100,000 Kremer prize. The pilot in both cases was Bryan Allen.

Yeah, take an olympic level cyclist, put him on a diet and feed him performance drugs, then build and design the lightest most aerodynamic capsule-wing plane arrangement, put him in and he may be able to cycle a mile or so.
It has been done, but they should tow them really high like a glider behind a motorised plane. Can you imagine how great a bike ride that would be?

Totally infeasible due to the fact a human-burning furnace large enough to create enough fuel necessary to power an aircraft would be entirely too large to get airborne.
