Do you think the United States is held to a higher standard than other countries?

The United States is always getting dumped on and blamed for everything that goes wrong with the world.

I believe so, after all the United States sets so many standards in the world. We are called the nation of the free. And thats why so many people move to the United States to get a new start. I am currently in the Army, and well, the US Army is held to the highest standards because we for one, reprsent the free world as they say. Two, we set the image of how civilized armies are supposed to act. Other countries, have their people learn english why? Because they want to make it easier on Americans if they visit. Even during the cold war the Soviet Union allowed Tourism to and from the states. Why because the people wanted to be like Americans. And now that I am stationed in Germany. I find that the Germans want to be just like American. They model alot of things just like us. Espically the youths.

Any country which wants to be the 'world leader' also has the responsibility to be the beacon to the other countries. So, it must be held accounbtable to a higher standard and the principles it advocates all over the world.

This kind of talk is why the world hates you so much, it is because of your arogance. Offcourse we dont learn to speak English because we want to make it easier on you, thats bullshit, we learn to speak English, but because when i go to ne other country i know that some people will to, and i have to because all my studybooks are in English. But you really dont see how annoyed the rest of the world is by you, and your double standards.
