If you're head starts really hurting and it's painful to look at bright light, then see your doctor, as that could be meningitis.

But if not - sounds like you may have slept in an awkward position - a sore neck will give you a headache.

are u very stressed up with work recently or for a long period of time? If yes, that has most probably caused your shoulders muscles to be tensed up for a long period of time... leading to stiff neck.. and your head feels concrete cos your mind is overloaded..

If not, you must have a pillow that is not giving your head enough support... time to change a good pillow..

if the pain in your neck is just on 1 side then could be that you have sat or slept in a draft, or could be that you have just layed in position that made your neck muscles spasm which would cause the pain down 1 side.

try to put your chin on your chest if this also gives u pain then could poss be meningitus.

either 1 of the above could cause for you to have headaches also high blood pressure can also do this.

but in all cases i would consult your doctor or if you feel that it is that bad go to the hospital

Get it checked out straight away. If you don't like bright lights and you're feeling sick and you have a rash that won't go away when you press a glass on it, call 999! It could be meningitis!

Sounds like you've got a chill, or have slept in a draft. Have a hot bath and keep your neck warm, and then have a hot toddy. It won't cure you, but you'll feel better!
