Unfortunately, since the Holocaust in Germany, there were a lot of holocausts, to other people and the world didn't learn. If you cant protect yourself, no one will protect you. Unless you have something the world wants - see Kuwait and the invasion of Iraq. Haw the world interfered because of the oil. Nobody is interfering when it's in Africa. Africa has nothing to offer.

Probably the best thing to do is not put up with it. It doesn't take an Adolph Hitler to stir up things to a point like this. Joseph McCarthy was doing a pretty good job of it as well. It would be hard for average citizens to stop genocide in other countries, but they can work to stop it in their own. Simply not participate is something anyone can do. Proactive political involvement, whether it be voting in elections or writing one's representatives in Congress is another step. Most important of all is to not buy into the whole "scapegoat" mentality that the Nazis created in the 1930's.
