Aurthur "wins" the sword....well, kinda - sorta if you didn't read anything about Arthur...and just [almost]paid attention to a few movies about him....
For the sword....take your pick of answers.
The lady of the lake, Merlin, set in stone, ...all three are interrelated stories
As for as "slays the giant"....your'e in a different myth/story/legend there....
