As much as possible. That first trimester is crazy! I always said that there's no one more tired than a pregnant woman in her first trimester. I would sleep 9-11 hours a night and nap when I could. On the weekends I would take 3-4 hour naps in the middle of the day.

They say in the first trimester you should try and get at least 8 hours, most women are so nervous about tests/Ultrasounds/Miscarriage, that they don't get the sleep they need. I was like tyreanpurple, I was lucky if I had 2 hours straight. I am a belly sleeper and barely slept through my first pregnancy. I am now 16 weeks pregnant and get roughly 2 -3 hours a night, I usually wake up on my belly and am mortified, so can't sleep for the rest of the night, that and the fact that I have a 17 month old that you constantly worry about when she is asleep.

I'm 12 weeks pregnant and I agree, I can't seem to get enough... on average I'd get between 9 and 10 a night. If I don't have to get up in the morning, or if I had a particularly busy or stressful day, I can easily sleep 11. I guess it's different for everyone.

Lol... I slept between 7 and 9 hours, had breakfast and went to work... When I got out at 1 pm I'd take a couple hour nap at least. So probably a total of 13 hours on average... but it went away after about a month and a half.

It depends on the woman and how much she allows herself to sleep. I usually slept around 11 hours every night during my first trimester.

It depends for most women many hours. As for me, I was lucky when I slept for an hour or two. I had always slept on my belly before I got pregnant, was too scared to continue, and just couldn't sleep any other way. It was so tough.

At the end of your pregnancy you will find yourself sleeping quite alot. Probably around half the day. Even after the pregnancy. Its a great time to put your feet up and relax.

as many as she possibly can - or so it was when I was pregnant - never seemed to get enough sleep even when I had 10 or 11 hours.
