I'm a 2nd year in college, and my planned major is Economics, but I've been thinking about changing it. If I get a degree in Economics, what can I expect to do with it?

My husband, brother-in-law, and sister all have their BA in economics. My spouse and brother-in-law are information technology managers, and my sister is a law student. Take some accounting and finance classes if you want to work in the money side of business, but it's not what you major it, it's what you learn about learning that gets you where you want to go.

Not a whole lot... you can be an analyst for a company, or teach economics.. but.. many majors like that adapt their major to something else, usually in corporate america, unless you can make a living off your knowledge of stocks. Economics degree can go far with a minor in business or a double major with business.

You can become a college professor.

I would recommend checking out The Mises Institute:

http://www.Mises.org

They have quite a large staff that consists of college professors. If you contact them by e-mail, they may be able to answer some of your questions.
