Actually, The actual administration is in a center-right position in the political expectrum, they have taken a really liberal position in the last few years. In immigration, for example, Bush is going liberal in his position, they are talking about to end the embargo against Cuba.
They are pro-war,though. Which is a very republican position, but some democrats like Joe Liberman and a good portion of the liberals support the war, some war are necessary! And, some of the Economic policies especially in the foreign proposal are liberal, check Economic treties with Central America , for example.
Facism is the far right in the political expectrum, I dont think any government in the Western World are close to that at this moment.
Maybe the Frech, they are the closest ones.

No. Your question is a typical loaded liberal question implying that conservatism and fascism closely resemble each other. True conservatism restricts the government while liberal ideals typically extend the power of government. Higher taxes, restricted religious freedom, state controlled facilities, etc. all are liberal ideals and if you do your research, you'll find those are staples of fascism and nazism. Check history and stop taking everything that is said on CBS or by some political figure with a (D) by his or her name as etched in stone fact.

Be more specific. Are you talking about religion? Conservatives can't force you to go to church, but socialist liberals can control your wages through laws supporting social programs. I'll take dealing with the far right.

Fascists send you to re-education camps, and exterminate their adversaries.
This isn't even close, the last time I checked we arn't under one totalitarian ruler.
