he'll shoot up fast! my son was short and now 6Ft..!

You say he does not seem to be growing are you keeping a chart? Would be a good idea. How long do you think he has not grown for? If over 6 months then do take some advice from the doc. Is your son on any medication i.e. for asthma, as my son stopped growing when he was 8 due to treatment for asthma, although struggled with the doctor who kept telling me everything was alright, but I persevered and insisted he see a growth specialist, who altered his meds and he started growing again. But do remember 14 is a funny age and at this time in life children vary in their growth spurts, it maybe just a rest before puberty strikes in good style.. Hope he goes on alright, if worried you should always see the doctor.

there are a lot of reasons that he isn't growing...I would go to see his Doctor and tell them your concerns....One thing is he sleeping OK...does he wake up a lot or maybe sleep walk or something like that...if his sleep is messed up talk to a sleep Dr. I am in the sleep field I am a RPSGT(registered Polysomnographic Technologists) and his growth hormones are released during sleep....if he is not sleeping good then his grow hormones are not doing what they need to do and it could stunt his growth...so I would watch his sleep and see what he is doing...

I was 5foot 4 at 13yrs then i stopped growing. my daughter is 5yrs old and 3foot tall but my husband is over 6foot. If you are worried see a doctor who Will be able to help you and put your mind at rest, there are things he can take to help him grow.

1) stop looking at his body when hes naked, you are only meant to when hes a little toddler, so ie stop watching his private parts.
2) hes got till his 21 to grow properley so dont worry about it, just make sure you dont feed him to many fatty products u dont want him growing a stomach.

He is a teenager this is how teenagers grow suddenly he will change when his body is good & ready. If your son is happy then just let him be!

ask your doctor if your son can see an endocrinologist,some boys are slower than others in the growth process,I am sure its nothing to worry about,good luck .

there r hormone shots i hope hes not on Ritalin it will slow there growth till they go off it ...also hes just getting ready to take a growth spurt stock up on $$$$$ for the frig food lol

why worry unless he is abnormally short - im 4 foot eleven and 3/4 inches i manage perfectly well im just short, as far as him bieng between growth spurts this is completly normal
